I live in Belgium and I am almost 55. My native language is Flemish (a kind of Dutch). Independent since 1983 I have been confronted lately with the bureaucratic, indifferent, hopeless obsolete approach of official bodies and organisations, which reason of existence should be to help the jobless. Personally, I get upset why they judge me, as a 55 year old person, by my degrees (which I got a long time ago and which I can't find back after a few moves), rather than by my acquired abilities/skills. Their approach stands for an outdated social and economic model, which is totally blind for what's really going on in our present society. And that society is trembling under the waves of change.
A new economy is evolving with new rules and it demands for a new (corporate) culture. It will be based on a open-minded, flat structured network model wherein we, citizens/users/workers/consumers, will be able to share and particpate profoundly. Our collective intelligence will make it possible to create value for all-of-us. However business and government are more than reluctant to follow this wave of change, to release their old rules and standards, to get out of the way, to hand over control.
Together with my jobless friend Ed, the idea has arised to meet a real need of a rapidly growing group of people, the jobless, who are too often negelected and/or marginalized. By offering a mean to take charge, we hope to create a platform collectively. A platform that helps to stimulate, organize those who are jobless, out of work. Or in other words: Connecting & Empowering the Disconnected.
The aim of swarm power is superior performance in a turbulent environment.
