Just a few thoughts

December 8, 2009 by Giedo

Worldwide there are at least 20 million jobs gone after 1 year crisis.
The ILO (International Labor Organisation) forsees no recovery before 2013 and is afraid the final number can reach 43 million.

The politics and business of climate change...
Will the world's largest global warming summit, which is now happening in Copenhagen, be just another milepost or a turning point?

Four months later ...

December 4, 2009 by Giedo

The core distribution of Drupal was up and running on August 3, 2009.
Since then a lot of work has been done to give this site its current layout, content and functionality.
Half November we asked some friends and acquaintances to test the site and to give their feedback.
It appeared that a lot of things weren't that clear as it seemed for us, who have been viewing the site day after day for months.
Ed took action and spent a few (stressy) days to create a few videos (his first ever!) on the Guided Tour page.

Why me?

August 3, 2009 by Giedo

I live in Belgium and I am almost 55. My native language is Flemish (a kind of Dutch). Independent since 1983 I have been confronted lately with the bureaucratic, indifferent, hopeless obsolete approach of official bodies and organisations, which reason of existence should be to help the jobless. Personally, I get upset why they judge me, as a 55 year old person, by my degrees (which I got a long time ago and which I can't find back after a few moves), rather than by my acquired abilities/skills.
