Vanaf 01.01.2010 geldt een regeling van versterkte activering (hogere werkuitkering) voor sommige categorieën van werklozen:
1 100 euro per maand gedurende maximaal 24 maanden voor 26-minners zonder diploma HSO;
1 000 euro per maand gedurende maximaal 24 maanden voor 26-minners met hoogstens een diploma HSO en voor 50-plussers;

Some introduction about myself:
I am a 56 years young woman with 25+ years experience as technico - commercial in the IT sector.
The last 4 to 5 years were hectic professionally:
- 2 x Companies disapeared (went broke), 3 x oportunistic job employers, some consulting work.
- 3 x consulting work was very rewarding. (good for the savings account)
Apart from a consulting job for a Chinese / German company in the spring time, I am a job seeker for over a year right now.
Shortly before we started this new community website, I was laid off. As a matter of fact it's the other way around. I was fired and a few weeks later I started this initiative with my good old friend Giedo. Why? I was fired. Okay, shit happens... and even as it didn't happen unannounced and apart the fact that I was even glad to leave the boring institute, it nevertheless made me uncomfortable. Because I'm the sort of guy that wants to go on and do things that matter. I felt I had wasted enough time doing things that in fact didn't matter... Seen it, had it.
I live in Belgium and I am almost 55. My native language is Flemish (a kind of Dutch). Independent since 1983 I have been confronted lately with the bureaucratic, indifferent, hopeless obsolete approach of official bodies and organisations, which reason of existence should be to help the jobless. Personally, I get upset why they judge me, as a 55 year old person, by my degrees (which I got a long time ago and which I can't find back after a few moves), rather than by my acquired abilities/skills.
